About 63% of your use falls in Time-of-Use off-peak hours. Ultra-Low Overnight usually wins when a large share of use (often an EV or a timed water heater) happens between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. and you can avoid weekday 4–9 p.m. use. Tiered often wins for households home all day with modest consumption.

Assumptions and method
Uses Ontario Regulated Price Plan commodity prices effective November 1, 2026: TOU 9.1/14.6/18.9¢; ULO 3.7/9.1/14.6/37.7¢; Tiered 11.2/13.2¢ with a 1000 kWh winter and 600 kWh summer threshold.
Your usage is spread across the day using a representative hourly profile for the routine you selected (21.7 weekdays and 8.7 weekend/holiday days per month). Up to half of 4–9 p.m. use is moved to 11 p.m.–2 a.m. when you use the slider. EV charging is assumed to occur overnight.
Results show the commodity (electricity) portion only. Delivery, regulatory charges and HST apply equally on all plans, and the Ontario Electricity Rebate (15.7%) is credited on the total. Your actual hourly data from your utility's Green Button download will give the most precise comparison.
